Age of Arthur double feature at The Other Partizan
« on: September 06, 2015, 06:34:08 PM »
I've not updated the blog for quite some time, but, today I joined Simon Miller, James Morris, Steve Jones and Martin Hogg to host a rather splendid looking Age of Arthur double-feature at 'The Other Partizan'

I also got to take quite a few shots of some of the other games.

The game looks fantastic.  Wish I had bothered to go now. The hall looks empty though?

One of the best tables there I think. It was quite busy when I was there. I am glad that they are moving venues like Hammerhead did.

T'was a wonderful sight and if I'd had a bit more time I would have spent a ot more time at the game guys.

10 out of 10 I would say  8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

I've got some pics that I'm sending to Simon and will post them in the Events and Conventions section of the site soon (or possibly soon-ish as I'm still knackered from yesterday!) :)

I had the pleasure of playing for a while in the afternoon. Great time. Thanks to Simon, James and Martin. Also came away with one of the table coverings as one of my show buys.

It was smashing fun to get the Arthurian hordes out again, and big kudos to Simon for providing all the table coverings and basic terain, which was a logistics exercise in itself.  We were limited to 14' in the Carriage Court at Kelham whereas I'm hoping we can fit bigger into the showground...

I think a move will be good for the show and hopefully pep it up a bit, as over the past two years, the marquee show apart, it's seemed as though it was slowly dying off when I've turned up, though admittedly about 1pm after the initial rush has been and departed. I've been enquiring why they didn't move to the showground for about two years now and the response was always that they were happy where they were, even though it's poorly lit, the rooms are cramped and everyone moans about the catering! :) The organisers have been saying there's a waiting list of games and traders apparently who they couldn't fit into Kelham , so hopefully it'll expand to fill the available space. It can only be good whatever happens from now on.

Agreed. It should spark some new interest as well as help rekindle some interest in those who have got 'tired' of Kelham. (I may well be in a minority of one here but I actually like it!) Not that I'll miss the dinginess ;)

the marquee show apart

I think that was largely down to luck- if it had rained hard.....????? Still, it was nice to have the light. I do know that some traders weren't that happy as there were no solid walls......

It can only be good whatever happens from now on.

Well, I'll be there with bells on as it's still one of the best shows around IMHO.

Darrell.
