Back again with more Titans. Here you have my latest additions, I got these two on eBay:

I stripped them and got them into blue and white, as the other Titans:

Nothing too complicated, as usual. I dared to do some stripes on the shoulderpads of one of them to give a visual sense of coherence with the Warlord. So here you have Venator Intrepidus (Fearless Hunter) and Tronitus Hastam (Thunderspear):

The familiy pic so far:

You can find it all over here:

I'd like to have a couple of Warhounds, the Lucius pattern, but the escalation of prices is quite a madness right now, so I may wait a little or end up buying some proper old models, still to see...

Nice bit of work and additions.

Look forward to seeing which Warhounds you finally go for.

tempting me more and more to actually start some epic painting!

But it has to wait, no time for that as well!

Veey nice Reavers. Was there any rationale behind the weapon fits? :-)

Woof! Who choose the colour scheme on those old reavers? You really have done them justice.

I always had to laugh at the design of the Emperor titan. Churches on the legs! Can you imagine being a imperial chaplain giving a sermon in there?

Chaplain: "So we are here for holy communion to celebrate the life of the emperor ."

STOMP

Chaplain:"...oh shit! My communion wine has spilt!"

STOMP

Chaplain:" aaaggghhhh....I've just been crushed by my statue of the emperor! "

And so on......

Thank you! :)

I can totally visualize what Andym says lol lol lol

Can't remember who brought my attention to that, but I saw a guy who was using a WH40K Knight as an Epic Imperator, 3Dprinting bastions and stuff to replace the top cathedral, and in fact it was cool, it strangely made much more sense (besides the fact of having a Titan up to scale with the 6mm infantry!)

Unfortunately I'm experiencing a... temporary discontinuation of service regarding Titans. I got a nice pack from eBay including four old plastic Warlords among other stuff (:-*), but the shipping company apparently messed things up and lost the package :-[. I've been claiming for the last weeks but it doesn't look good >:(
Anyway, I still have tons of old stuff at home, so there will be more Epic incoming soon! ;)

Was there any rationale behind the weapon fits? :-)

Not really, I just glued the stuff so it looked cool, but that's the way I approach to every project :D

When I arm them, I like to give Titans "roles" for a few reasons:

1) It justifies having a lot of Titans!

2) I find them more useful in-game, which helps with (1) too.

3) I find it easier to theme them, give them a backstory, and give them appropriate trophies and markings according to the varied foes they've fought.

The only Titans I found that were okay in a general-purpose role were Warlords because they have enough weapon hardpoints (plus weapons in the head - and even the tail!) to give them a bit of everything. Ironically (to me, anyway) Reavers were created to be the general-purpose class in the Legios rather than the the Warlords or the Warhounds! :P

Anyway, I hope your remaining Warlords turn up! Shame to hear they've gone missing. :(

Time to bring some infantry in! I have three armies: Space Marines, Orks and Chaos. Marines will need less work to be up to duty, so I'll be starting with them. In fact, most of my infantry will remain just as it is now. I have two Battle Companies from the Ultramarines, following the Codex Astartes (six Tactical Squads, two Assault Squads and two Devastator Squads). My original plan was assembling the whole Chapter, but you know, I scattered through too many things and in the end I only have these two.
Here you have the Second Company:

(If only I knew how to take decent pics you'd see the squad marks and numbers)

Third Company too:

Both of them:

I now need to repaint and base some Termies, Scouts and Librarians:

Her you have them at the blog:

http://oldschoolworkshop.blogspot.com.es/2015/12/ultraepic.html

I also need to repaint all the vehicles (a few Rhinos, Predators, a Thunderhawk...) Hope it can be anytime soon!

Well, I still have my Space Marines tanks half painted, that should be next... But for now, I finally managed to have a game :).  This was the only schedule I could get from my mate so I was forced to play with unfinished minis (sigh). But hey! It's a game!

My mate played Squats (gorgeous minis):

So it all started:

We used NetEpic. I'm not familiar with the rules, but my adversary is, so it was a kinda swift game. I hadn't played an Epic scale game since... 2000-2001? so it was a brand new game for me.

My pal, on the contrary, knew what he was doing. He just knocked me off with his artillery, while my poor infantry suffered it all over.

The game is quicker than I remembered/expected. By the end of turn one, we were on the edge of close combat, fighting for the board centre:

Squat army is not particularly fast. Except for the bikes. Oh, the bikes. They engaged my tanks in close combat and deprived me of using any long range weapon or most of my embarked troops.

We of course a few juicy Titan encounters

With lots of tables!

My units suffered and suffered...

By the end of turn 2 my army was under heavy pressure!

But I got some airborne reenforcements!

We finally got the long expected confrontation...

In the end it was terribly fun. I was appaled, as you can see, but I held the position for most of the game.

I enjoyed it a lot, and now I can only think of reorganizing my Marines army and painting my Orks!

You can have it all here (with many more pics!):

Wow, very nice-looking game, well done!  :-*

I have to admit, from my many games of SM2 and TL as a youngster, I did always find Marine infantry a bit underwhelming!  :?

I usually took a Scout company in three Thunderhawks, a Battle company, and a Devastator Company if I could find the points. The Scouts were basically just objective-grabbing troops with Tactical Marine stats, and the Devastor detachments were good enough at shooting to threaten Titans and hold areas fairly reliably. Some of their tanks however (especially the Vindicators and Land Raiders) were excellent! ...Maybe you need a Land Raider company? ;)

Great Batrep and minis!
Any chance of seeing some more photos of the Squats? I (hopefully) have some on the way soon and this looks to be a very nicely painted force. Your marines are excellent too.
