Had this guy around for quite a while, the upcoming release of the 3rd edition rules from Privateer finally encouraged me to get some paint on him:

That's Master Tormentor Morghoul, a Skorne for Hordes.

And yes, he's wearing black lipstick.  I like to imagine he LARPs Vampire the Masquerade when he isn't torturing people for Makeda.

Say what you will about their pricing, Privateer does make some nicely detailed figures.

Rather like the posing on this one as well, although the epic version of the mini is even more dynamic than this model.

Oh look, he's had ink done too.  Maybe when I paint the epic Morghoul version I'll duplicate it with some added color and detail.  Being promoted to Master Assassin must come with a pay raise to cover upgrading his tattoos, right?  :)

Looks just like a guy I know who would only ever play Malkavians... badly.  lol

Brilliant work, although I don't like the game, I buy a few of the minis for other projects, this one may have just made my list.

I will confess to playing a Malkavian for a few years myself (tabletop only, LARPing is a bit beyond the pale for my tastes) but I went for more of a Looney Toons guy instead of the Goth mental patient thing most folks seem to do.  Insisted I was the accredited UN ambassador from Malkavia, which is a small Balkan nation right next door to Latveria.  The national flag had a rampant platypus on it, because there is no animal in the world more Malkavian than a platypus.

Loads of fun.

I'm cautiously enthusiastic about the 3rd edition version of the rules, especially the move to encourage more casual and less tournament play.  Regardless, you're right about the minis.  Plenty of very useful stuff for other games and genres, especially steampunk, dungeoncrawl, postapocalyptic, and horror (ooh, those Cephalyx!).  Little expensive, but no worse than many boutique ranges.

What happens if he gets an itch?  :o

I suspect he gets off scratching that itch even with the rippers on.  In the fluff he's the head of a caste of guys called paingivers, torturers who practice on each other regularly.

And here's his epic form, Lord Assassin Morghoul:

I prefer to call him Dancing Fool Morghoul.

Certainly a very dynamic and unique pose, but does he really drag those odd little micro-pillars with him everywhere he goes?

His catchphrase is "talk to the fan" of course.  Note the fancied-up tattoo I mentioned in the first post.  Not as effective as I'd have liked since his other arm is covered in armor now, but still okay.

That sword of his would make a Tekumel mini proud.  It's apparently named "Mercy" which is probably a paingiver joke about what happens if he doesn't kill you quickly.

Privateer Press loves to give their minis weapons with odd names, although Morghoul here has nothing on the Butcher, whose giant two-handed magic axe is named "Lola" after his ex-wife.
