Musketeers - ECW size comparison
« on: November 09, 2008, 12:35:46 PM »
With the arrival of my TAG ECW figs, I had the rest of the collection out and decided to take some scale shots, in case it might be useful to anyone.

Left to right: Brigade Games Musketeer - Perry ECW - TAG ECW - Old Glory ECW - Eureka ECW

The Brigade Games looks the tallest, but others from the same pack are a bit shorter.
The Old Glory one is the shortest. For me, they are all well within tolerated fluctuation parameters.

And the ladies, left to right: 7th Sea - Brigade Games - DSA (Ral Partha Europe)

Thank you for sharing.

The chaps look quite a reasonable match in size and style.

The lady in a dress is rather dissapointing - she looks far too slim, an unfortunately common fault, and I can't get any enthusiasm for female transvestites.

You know, I hadn't noticed that waist was so tiny.

Will need some greenstuff "padding".  :)

Yes thanks for the photos  8).

I always save this kind of pictures on my computer. It’s something I refer too when I want to know if different brand will match up well enough or when I’m looking into starting a new project   ;).

I am suddenly unable to see said photos. Anyone else having such issues?

The frother site (where they are hosted) is down. Pictures will be back up when the site comes back.

Great photo, thanks for posting!

I've got Foundry and Perry at present, but it's good to know the others are all compatible when I get around to recruiting more figures.

The ECW is one of those periods where a variety of figure manufacturers is definitely an advantage, as weapons and equipment weren't standardized and variations in scale are not so noticeable  :)

You don't happen to have a comparison picture of Foundry and Perry? I'd like to see how they match up. :)

Not at the moment and I'm going to work now  :(

If no-one else has one, I'll take a pic & post it tomorrow morning.

no rush.  ;)

Phew! Just as well. What a long-winded operation that was.

Worth it in the end, though, as I now have a Photobucket account and have learned how to use it and to adjust photo sizes and definitions etc.

Here are a couple of pics of figures off my painting table. For some reason I can't find any of the finished figures at the moment  >:(

The painting style is "wargames standard" so apologies for lack of painting quality and I had to take the pics in the kitchen, as my painting light has just blown, so the photo quality is pretty shoddy too  ::)

Two Perry on left and two Foundry on right as you look at it.

Ditto the above.

I hope they are of use. As you can see they are very compatible. The Foundry are slightly "chunkier" with larger heads, but they look ok together IMO.

Cool, cheers!

I was a bit in doubt about the Foundry ones as the pics on the site make them look short, stocky and bigheaded.

Thanks!

However, you'll notice I intentionally kept the pic very small, as in close-up they are not great. At normal wargames viewing distances they look pretty good, which is what I intended, as I don't have the time or talent to turn out mini-masterpieces  :)
