I am afraid to keep building as the Beast is usually preceded by a mass  influx of personnel and "agricultural implements"  lol lol

Progress on my mosque continues. The last two weeks I have been working on the showy entrances. The windows and their surrounds were fairly time intensive but I am happy how they turned out.  I think that I have a new recipe for windows now that will translate into a big Pulp building that is on the painting stocks for the future.  Here is the first entrance with black undercoat.

With first paint layer.

With second paint layer.

With final layer.

Here is the main entrance with black undercoat.

Here is an idea of how the entrances come together on the mosque.

Sorry the photo is a little washed out. I had to bring in extra light so that the shadowed doors could be seen. As always my photography is less than inspired.

All that remains are they two ends of the mosque.  They will be more difficult to paint because they are attached to the box structure of the mosque.  Also, the one end has the Muezzin's tower and will be fairly complex and fun to paint.

That is coming along very nicely, Lon.
I think that you will certainly do it justice when you have finished.

So it has been quite a while since I posted on my mosque.  I will plead that I have declared this the year of the Warlord Chinese and have been pumping them out........ until I got distracted by a bunch of U.S. Siberian AEF minis (still half painted) and now my mosque  -Oh,LOOK so shiny!-  I have been disciplined enough to keep everything confined to the Back of the Beyond (except for the busty lady spearfisherwoman for a pal -28mm I swear!- and then those Inca traders with a pack llama for another pal) That's my story and I am sticking to it. Anyway on to the mosque.  Here is the end opposite to the muezzin's tower.
Undercoated

1st layer of paint

End result

Here is the end with the muezzin's tower, which was much tougher to paint than it might appear.  Lots of nooks and crannies plus some problems balancing.

Undercoated

1st layer of painted

2nd layer of paint

End result

Now a couple of shots in it's natural environment (limited because my good wife gets ticked when I clutter up the table with my toys)

In general, I am very pleased with the building and would heartily recommend Kobblestone buildings to the membership of LAF. Very nice models at a good price. Plus the fellows at Kobblestone are good people. I imagine that this mosque and its resident imam will be a thorn in the side of the Dogmeat General in the coming years. I am only hoping that it will avoid the Beast of Bukhara's attention so that there is not an incursion of  fanatics and "agricultural implements" here on Guam  lol lol lol
As always comments and critique welcome. It is how I learn and improve.
