Scavvy Gang WIP (Sculpts) Pic heavy
« on: 23 September 2015, 01:27:34 AM »
I originally posted some progress of this project on the Future Wars board, but as they work equally well in other genres, Post-Apoc in particular, maybe they should just go in here as they are a work in progress.

Anyways, here are some shots of the Scavvy Gang that I have been working on.

It began with the idea of making a few alternative 'Savage Scouts', that did not sport rat-headed hoods, suitable for use in Necromunda-style games with these three fellas...

A small run of these were cast up a while ago, which provides some masters for the start of the proposed gang.

A few more have been added since in the form of 'Ape-face', Sick Jack and Mungo...

Sick Jack has a whole in his left fist to accommodate a variety of options, a club, boat hook or bag, pictures of which will be posted later.

Another three, including two female Scavvy's....

A mutant (or alien) merchant and his porters...

The porters have been deliberately left with empty packs so that they can have any load added to their panniers.

And lastly, meet Abe, the leader of the group....

And a group shot so far....

I like the "thinking" pose you have for the leader Paul, he has an air of meticulous planning about him. His fingers look quite realistic.

Great looking team  8)

Fantastic work Mason, these do look superb mate  ;)

The leader would be so useable for a number of reasons.

Thanks, chaps.
Much appreciated.
 :D

These are great fun to make as, being sci-fi, I can pretty much do whatever I fancy.
The leader, Abe, being a good example.
He started life with the intention of being a naval officer but wandered off and did his own thing, which was great as I really had no idea how I was going to finish him.
I just went with what felt 'right' at the time.
 :D

The leader is great! I'd love a copy when (if?) you get round to casting him :)

Thanks, chaps.

These will be cast up soon enough (I still have two figures and the Scaled Mutant to finish yet) but their sale will probably go down a different route this time.
All will become clear in due course.
 ;)
