I have painted and continuously paint East Asian miniatures, koreans, japanese, etc....

I have change my mind on bases in order to play in units of monks, etc... like Pike and shot or Killer Katana...

Just use sabol type trays with cutouts. Warbases sell movement trays with cut outs for various base sizes including 1p coins 2p coins and custom sizes. That way you cs. Have round bases for skirmish and Still rank up units.
