Goblin Wartower
« on: 25 September 2015, 03:55:17 PM »
I bought this piece from Scotia Grendel age ago and it has been languishing half painted for far too long. The ELMS club annual modeling competition was approaching so I thought I'd use that as an excuse to get it finished so I could enter it.

(Bigger pics on my blog: http://verbilgerbil.blogspot.co.uk)

I'm really pleased with how its come out. I went for an oval base as it framed the figure nicely. It'll probably end up being used a Basiladon or something similar in Age of Sigmar or possibly just a chariot or pump wagon.

I'm a big fan of the sneaky goblins under the howadah poking out with spears and bows.

(I managed to get 1st place at the club competition, which I was really chuffed with!)

I have this sitting in a box from many years ago.Great range of Beasties. You have done a great job with this piece. Now you need a few of the Goblin masses on foot to go with it.

Wow that is a cool model and you have done a fantastic job painting it. I must check out some of Scotia Grendels fantasy stuff as I have only brought microarmour from them.

Stunning! I've always liked goblins and with a gribbly monster like that I know they can win this time!

Thanks guys

Now you need a few of the Goblin masses on foot to go with it.

I'm tempted by the masses. They'd be tricky to use (rules-wise) in a lot of the fantasy rulesets I play though.

Excellent!!

We may, or may not, have one of those tucked away somewhere in a dark corner of the house.

Astonishingly well painted. How enormous is that thing? Size comparison pics will be appreciated, especially on a batrep.
