Khurasan releases 15mm Stryker Infantry Carrier Vehicle
« on: 30 September 2015, 04:53:16 PM »
We are very pleased to release our latest ultramodern US Army model, the M1126 Stryker Infantry Carrier Vehicle.  The vehicle fought in both Iraq and Afghanistan, and there are nine Stryker Brigade Combat Teams currently in the US Army.  This kit is resin with some pewter parts and is available now:

(By the way, the air filter unit on the starboard roof is optional and may be left off.)

Very nice! Now all we need is someone to do bar armour and I'd be a happy man.

Very difficult to cast. Probably the sort of thing that needs to be scratchbuilt.

I've tried to find brass etched stuff that would suit....I thought 1/72 cut down to fit would be good but the only one I found is no longer in production😕 One day.....

Brass etch. GHQ does it as an add-on for their 6mm Strykers, for example.

Very nice!

Are you going to have the MK19 as well, or just the .50?

Actually was going to do the Mk19 to go with the crew set, but now it looks like all the Strykers are getting 30mm guns ....

We'll see.   I was always surprised they didn't go that route from the start.  Now, I think you'll see a few of the SBCTs refitted, and maybe a couple theater/forward deployed sets refitted, but due to budgets I don't see all being done.   I don't think the Army wants (or has the resources) to make a full 'program of record' to go all out on this.   It started as an EUCOM urgent needs request and the 2nd ACR will be the ones to get the initial refit.

Ok thanks. By the way, any idea what the 30mm redo will look like?

Thanks Jake, that's an interesting turret.  Is that a coax M240?

I will have to see if I can find plans so I can have one made.  I'd need to see the roof as well, of course.

I would hold off making one at this point until they do settle on what it will be. That is a GD test vehicle, the actual production version is likely to be a little different.  I can see more sensors/optics, maybe a bustle rack, smoke grenade dischargers...
