Looking for a seamstress looking apprentice for an Enchanter.
« on: October 08, 2015, 04:50:40 AM »
So I'm in the process of creating my Frostgrave warband and decided I will use the old sculpt of Zoraida from Malifaux as my Enchantress and theme my group around her making Voodoo doll/marionnette looking construct.

However, I have hit a wall looking for an appropriate mini for her apprentice. I would like a young (hopefully good looking) seamstress/peasant girl to play on the Old crone/young maiden trope.

I have check Reapers already but with no success.

What are your suggestions?

What do you want a seamstress to look like cant you just take a female figure  and add what you thing a seamstress should have?

Have you tried Westwinds - Vampire Wars, they have a various villager types, gypsies and what not, might be something of use there. The only down side is they come in packs, so you might have a few to 'convert' to Frostgrave.

What do you want a seamstress to look like [...]

I'm looking for a fig with maybe some fabric rolls, maybe a bit victorian servant type.

I guess that's what I will have to do if I can't find an already appropriate mini.

I thought I would use the vast knowledge of miniature companies this forum has.

I can't help you finding a seamstress.

But should that plan fail, you could always have Reaper's Rashia as an apprentice to Zoraida:

Wouldn't she be a bit cold?  lol

Damn, I had forgotten this is Frostgrave we're talking about.

Maybe she's wearing thermal Underarmour wear? The logo wouldn't be too hard to freehand. Or she has cast the "keep warm" spell on her skirt's feathers? lol

(I'll get my coat now)

How about a gypsy? You could have her holding puppet strings from her left hand.

Yup! I think we have a winner here. Thanks!

The cool thing is that Zoraida came with 3-4 voodoo dolls I can use.

Glad to help. I've had my eye on that one a while, but she doesn't fit any of my projects ATM. The figures I've bought from Tre Manor (Red Box Games) have all been top notch.
