New range of 28mm Rif War figures - New Web Site
« on: November 15, 2008, 07:53:40 PM »
Read this on TMP and immediately asked for and got a list from Andy.

We are pleased to announce a new company (name to be confirmed) manufacturing a 28mm range of figures for the Spanish Campaigns of the Rif War in Morocco 1921-23. The range is planned to cover Rif and Spanish forces with a provisional 42 pack catalogue. The first releases will be four packs of Rif hopefully as soon as possible in 2009. The sculptor will be Richard Ansell and we hope to capture the feel of the campaigns with a well researched and comprehensive range. We plan to complete this range before venturing into other periods.
If there is anything you would like to see please speak up.
Will keep you informed as we progress.
Marco & Andy

Nice idea, it comes to fill the gaps in this era.

Will you plan to iclude a couple of earlier personalities like Raisuli and Rendecaris (sean Connery and Candice Bergen of tLion And Wind fame)?

I asked Andy for a list and it's very comprehensive. However, it always depends on sales for expansion.

Don't hesitate to ask Andy for a list and also throw in your ideas if they aren't on the list.

Cheers,

Helen
Best wishes,

Just a quick note as I've just joined the forum.
Work on the Rif and Spanish has started. I'm making all the parts I need for the initial packs at the moment.

Welcome Richard,

It's great to know that they have you working on this range. I believe I speak for everyone who have seen an/or have collected your figures from various companies that your miniatures are excellent.

All the best,

Helen

Here is the TMP link for folks who wish to contact Andy:

I don't think it would be proper for me to advertise the list here without Andy's consent. I'd rather have folks contact Andy themselves.

Hi Guys,

Rif Raf have now facilitated their new website. There is also a list of the range that you may likely see in the future:

There is an excellent wargamers guide to this conflict by Richard Baber available as a PDF download from http://www.toofatlardies.co.uk/

Can't wait till they arrive!
Riff wars at last. Both my favourite wargame periods (Spanish Civl War and Riff Wars). Told you 2009 would be a splendid year.
