How to base snotlings for dungeon adventuring?
« on: October 16, 2015, 01:05:43 AM »
I'm plannig on starting a dungeon adventure campaign where the main villans are "Kev Adams" esk Orcs and Goblins.  I already have the adventurers from reaper and some Black Tree Orcs and Goblins.  I plan on getting some more of each and not have any repeats.  Today I just recieved a pack of GW snotlings and Holy Cow they are tinny!  I was wondering how to base them.  My orcs are on 1 inch washers and the goblins are on 7/8 inch washers.  I could put 2 of the little guys on a 1 inch base or 1 on a 7/8 inch base.  I'm leaning towards the 2 on a base option as they look good massed together.  Also, I dont have a rule set picked out yet, or a dungeon.  I was thinking of Warhammer quest or Advanced Hero Quest or possible modifying Mordheim.
Any advice on basing or rules would be very welcome.

I used square 20mm bases for mine. Mostly one per base, except for the sculpts that are done as connected pairs. The scale seems OK. I would imagine that 20mm round would look pretty good - maybe even better.

I reckon you could squeeze three/four on a 25mm base without too much hassle.

15mm washers, 1 a piece. No idea what 7/8" equals, but I base 15mm minis on 15mm washers, and they should do for snotlings as well, I think.
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!
