Cool looking ships. Nice paint jobs especially on the two last pictures. The ship with a five is my favourite.

Thank you for the kind words, and that's no ship! That's a satellite, and one of a series of kitbashed satellites in fact:

They're made from plastic rhinestones, some plastic beads, a plastic jack from a child's ball and jacks set, a few metal bits from Dream Pod 9, and metal barrel clasps meant for necklaces. A coat of acrylic craft paints, some model airplane decals and a shot of Testor's Dullcote.

Making things out of things is something of an obsession of mine ever since I discovered the hobby of sci-fi miniature wargaming back in the 1970s (and it's been downhill ever since):

Well, it's actually a frigate-class warship, and the paint scheme is cribbed from WW2 U.S. Navy aircraft schemes prevalent in the PTO... but there's a thought, a mining ship named Blue Dwarf.... I do have a large plastic bottle come to think of it just laying around doing nothing...
