Terrain Density?
« on: October 17, 2015, 01:38:17 PM »
I'm just starting out after buying the kindle rules a while back, and recently acquiring some beautiful NorthStar starter sets. While I build up my VSF style 28mm terrain, what recommendations does the community have for terrain density on 2x2 or 3x3 boards?

Lots of terrain. Makes for better scenarios and rifles can do some serious damage without lots of cover.

1. Honestly, lay out your terrain in a density and pattern that is pleasing on the eye and adds to the occasion.
2. Try not to have too many spaces that are more than 12" across with no cover whatsoever. These are called 'killing grounds' by those companies toting rifles and machine guns.
3. Remember that an ordinary soldier can run across the board at 9" per turn and anyone trying to hit him shall be at -3 to the shooting roll.
