My settlement has started to take shape.  I have painted and based a couple of the log cabins. Here is the larger of them

The basic layout is shown here.

I intend to line the edges of the boards with tree stands to represent the main forest.  Of course as the settlement expands there will be the need to cut some trees down.

The settlement is built round a road which I have lined with some rail fences:

The fields need some more work and of course there are still the cornfields to come.  More on those at the weekend.

Bloody hell!
 :o :o :o

You really have gotten your teeth into this project, haven't you, mate?

A seriously impressive start.
It looks bloody brilliant already.
 :-* :-* :-*

I love the log cabin and the felled trees are inspired, I shall have to steal that idea.
 :D

You may have trouble dealing with the hordes clammering to see this at BLAM next year.

Gary,

Great stuff, you are progressing nicely, the snake rail fencing looks especially good. :-*

I'm going to ignore Pablo's comments. ;)
