Thanks for the encouragement chaps. It's not particularly heavy (though might get that way!) and I'll be filling in gaps with GS stones as and when I do the sculpting to the Boltons.

 . At the moment it weighs ... Actually, I'll get to that in a minute

Stonework with real stones is now done. I still need to make some mods with GS and sculpt on ivy etc.

A bit difficult to see what's what in the raw, so hopefully the detail will stand out when it's, er, detailed. Overview:

And with areas of footfall plastered over for dirt (I've also dirtied up to waist height inside the tower). I used dry wall plaster, onto a  coat of pva - might work or it might all fall off!



This needs to wait a couple of days to dry, then it'll get the GS treatment.

Now that the Boltons have a miserable and squalid home in the offing, I can get back to sculpting the conversions 

Oh, and weight at the mo with its full complement of slate and WET plaster is 1730g

It will be interesting to see what happens to the plaster. Perhaps a very very very liberal coating of white glue once its dried will act as a flexible membrane and keep it all in, and allow sand to be added.

I thought a silicone may have been good to gap fill and hold its place without flaking off, but then you have the trouble of trying to stick anything to it.
