Yes, good progress there Steve.
I suppose you could press some of your Winter Wreaks Wild figures into service? Not all that different?

Thanks chaps. Obviously they're still very much work in progress.

Regarding the WWW minis, I guess I could but the basing would be wrong (yes I know.... :)) and, more importantly, they aren't dressed and/or coloured as per the factions in the TV series, so I doubt that l'll use them for this project (though my stock of castings for more Bear People has been raided to make the Wildlings).
My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2025 = 74
(2024 = 38; 2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

Great GS work as usual :)

But surely you need more than that to defeat Bibbles, Captain and their cohorts? :D

lol  Dont forget that Richard's Boltons are true to the books whereas Im a follower of the screen!

Anyways, haven't really got anything done in the last couple of days but I have broken my 'pledge' that this project would be assmbled from the leadpile.... today I succombed and bought a few sets of the pair of plastic minis that are Mantics skeleton artillery crew. I'm thinking that with parts from Frostgrave Cultist, Perry WotR and Mantic Ghouls / Zombies I should be able to assemble a dozen decent Wights. More asap.

The Frostgrave cultists have arrived (mostly destined for another project to look much like the prisoners in Aliens 3). There are a pleasing number of 'boney bits' that will do very well for decayed Wights, which I'm really looking forward to assembling. I'm planning on 12 Wights and 2 full-on White Walkers, the latter probably using clear acrylic rod for ice swords and ice spears.

That fort looks like it grew out of the ground. Very, very nice.

Thanks  :)

Very nice beehive building in your footer (and your other buildings too).

Have you looked at images of Cosmeston Medieval Village?

http://www.valeofglamorgan.gov.uk/en/enjoying/parks_and_gardens/cosmeston/cosmeston_medieval_village/cosmeston_medieval_village.aspx

It has a beehive building much like yours. The small farm I'll be making will have a similar vibe, the idea being that it is built from the smaller stones robbed from the derelict old fort.

Converting/sculpting of the Boltons is now pretty much done, though I always find more to change after taking photos and undercoating. As mentioned before, I've aimed for the TV look with mod to reflect my personal preferences.

A reminder:

And where I'm at:

I shall probably add a bit more variation in the colour of the leathers, and that I've gone for a padded gambeson will allow a bit more flexibility than the 'shades of one colour' scheme used for the TV.

In other news, I had wanted to finish the first 6 terrain tiles this weekend but am waiting on some grass tufts. Frustrating :( . Instead, I might start on the Wildings, using spare master casts from my Winter Wreaks Wild project.

 :)

Those are going to be great Steve.

I had a look at the Gamers Grass at Warfare in Reading today. It's very regular...in tuft size and length. I prefer the slightly more irregular nature of the Silflor tufts, although the GG tufts are certainly a bit cheaper.

Thanks chaps  :D

The interest of all is always very encouraging but you are both great GoT enthusiasts, which is especially appreciated.  :D

I had a look at the Gamers Grass at Warfare in Reading today. It's very regular...in tuft size and length. I prefer the slightly more irregular nature of the Silflor tufts, although the GG tufts are certainly a bit cheaper.

Did you look at a 'mixed tuft size' pack? My order arrived (not from GG direct, I hasten to add) but is short a couple of packs (the plan is to use 2 colours but only one arrived .... Argh!!! .... which has stalled progress).  Anyways I've got some of the mixed size (not to be confused with mixed colour!) and there is variety in length and shape. I can imagine that for a terrain board a constant length and shape would look horribly synthetic.

I'm not familiar with silfor 'in the flesh' as I so rarely visit wargame shops/shows but your advice is greatly appreciated.  :D. Thus far, the only tufts I've actually used are the GW Mordheim. I was disappointed to learn they stopped doing every other colour  :'(

I almost feel it's a shame to nearly completely cover the existing models as you have; with the amount of effort you've put it, could it be worth just sculpting minis from scratch? :)
