Looks brilliant.  Modularity yet with enough panache to make it visually excellent and remain practical to game on for a variety of settings.

Thanks very much all (and I like that analysis Steve!)  :D

Anyways, phase 2 of the terrain build is now done so l'm about to crack on with phase 2 of the minis:

In the tray, ready for the off, are:

White Walkers & Wights
Night's Watch
Cleganes
Servile civilians
Produce, etc for 'raid' markers
Rabbits for 'hidden' markers
Mule carts
Dogs
The fixtures & fittings for the inn complex
A flayed man

Quite looking forward to getting on with that lot!  :D

My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2025 = 74
(2024 = 38; 2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

Nice, looking forward to seeing more minis painted!

Where do you get a mule cart from?

A flayed man

Gruesome...

Thanks!  :)

The cart is from Boot Hill Miniatures (mex28)

http://boothillminiatures.co.uk/page4.htm

And they do a nice set of sacks, barrels etc as well.

The mules are from the ACW range by Perry - a set of 6 gives me 2 in harness, 2 in stables and 2 for other projects.

Am working on more minis and have finally resolved a long-running annoyance!

I wasn't happy with the ice sword and the ice spear carried by the two Walkers. I finally found a piece of clear HIPS that was just the right thickness to carve, drill and pin, etc.

Obviously still much GS to do but I'm keen to get on with that now (and no longer have reason not to).  :D

Uhmm... what is a HIPS?  ???
I found "Short for host-based intrusion prevention system", but I don't think this fits in here too well.  ;)

Sorry made that unnecessarily hard!  :D

HIPS is high impact polysyrene. The stuff that hard plastic kits are injection-moulded in. So I could have just said styrene and it would have been clearer.  :)

A good start on those Steve.

Yes, i see a lot of mention of 'HIPS' all of a sudden. Clearly the wargaming jargon de jour  ;)
(You are, as ever, up there with the trendsetters  lol)

Not trendsetting but practical  ;).  It's what it's called when buying wholesale, it seems to be only wargamers who call HIPS by various other names.

I would say that, we've got several words for it in industry (plastic shit being one of them  lol )

cheers
