I've used a similar technique on my mumakil barding using stiff paper as a backing. I had not thought of doing something similar with a porous paper and stiffening glue for cloaks on figures... :)

Thanks  :)

I've been using the paper, superglue, GS approach for quite a while now as it enables very flowing cloaks.  It can be done with PVA but that doesn't take the GS so well.

There's a walk through from a 2013/2014 project on my PLOG:

http://www.silentinvader.uk/index_w_www_index_how.html

Though I now use kitchen paper rather than crumpled copy paper. Also, for tacking to plastic minis I use the usual solvent cement rather than superglue.

My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2025 = 74
(2024 = 38; 2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

I'm slowly but surely completing the accumulation of factions ready to take greenstuff...

The inn crew and cart team with hitched loaded and unhitched unloaded versions of the cart.

The two ladies are by Pro Gloria, the barkeep and lute player are by Hasslefree, and the two carters and/or stableboys are by Perry.

The cart with load is by Boothill Miniatures and is just the sort of thing I imagine being hauled along the muddy and rocky tracks of The North. The robust wheels certainly look like they could take a lot of punishment.

I added the Perry mules. With much drilling, fiddling, snipping and sticking I also added the beginning of traces, which hold the mules in position. I had to make the base in two halves to accommodate the tufts I'd planted in the centre of the track.

Great stuff, Steve.
That is a great selection of goodies that seem to fit the bill really well.
I love the attention to detail, even the base is made to accomadte the board (ya mad bugger!  ;)).
 :-* :-*

I have that cart and it is great (still gotta paint mine.... ::)) and it really can be used in a multitude of settings and will fit in just as well here as it will in my Old West games.
I also have that bard that you have chosen but I bet yours will look nothing like mine...

Meet Tristan the Troubador Twat....

Most famousist bard in Krappefortt, just not for his singing.....
(As you can see, I like to tinker with figures too).
 ;)

I wondered why the mules were based separately, now I know why lol

I love your attention to detail, the game will really come to life as each of the figures chosen seems to have his own character. Can't wait to see which ones get killed first ;) lol

That's dedication!  :D Nice work on it all, too.

 ;D ;D

Edit: And the rest of you can work on distracting him, as I think he may be on to me..... ;)

Thanks all (including Paul, who I'll be watching  ;):D

I wondered why the mules were based separately, now I know why lol

....

Can't wait to see which ones get killed first ;) lol

lol Yeah, a set of unhitched mules for the yard/stable.  I was thinking of a 'Napoleon vs the Zulus' type game where they have to load up the cart etc and get on their way before the Wildlings (or Cleganes, or Boltons) come a-robbing. And you are so blood thirsty (what can I expect from done who threw a damsel from a Zeppelin! Cue Richard ......  :D)

Next up will be the Cleganes in a similar wip state though I doubt that won't be until next week.  :)
