Lion Rampant has a Convoy scenario these would play well in... ;)

My 15mm Napoleonics have artillery horse team bases and artillery deployed bases with attendant crew that share the same removable cannon model for similar eventualities...

Bit of an update - well, more of a hint at an update.

Have been cracking on with the conversions as evidenced by the 'box of stuff mostly awaiting greenstuff':

In there are:

Hiding and supply markers
2 wagons
4 mules
4 prisoners
8 dogs/mules
12 civilians
14 White Walkers (inclu Wights)
14 Faith Militant
14 Cleganes
24 Nights Watch

I've also started on the Starks, which will comprise 11 mounted each with a foot alternate. Here's an idea of what they'll look like:

It's mostly parts from Perry WotR and HYW with Conquest Norman weapons/shields and cavalry legs. For the foot alternates, I'm using the HYW torsos in vertical gambesons (correct?) with WOTR legs (which gives me the opportunity to drop their height a couple of mm as well some more mobile poses. They'll all get the leather look plus bascinets and round shields. Plenty of GS to come.

As soon as these are roughed out I'll be straight on with the same number of Lanisters who'll get armour with tassets twinned with a barbute (correct?) helmet (I don't like the helmet on the TV but still think they should have a mostly enclosed face).
My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2025 = 74
(2024 = 38; 2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

Hi Richard.  :D

A game is very possible  ;)

The inside of the inn is still unpainted as I had to change the order of work (DIY dust thus the switch to more assembling).

As to finished factions, I'm therefore still on 40 minis (20 each of Wildlings and Boltons) which are organised for my rules, as follows:

Hi James  :)

The amount of chopping required is one reason I left the Starks and Lanisters until last. That, and I had to buy more sprues (and despite a spreadsheet still managed to muck up the purchases!)

Getting a 'particular' uniform* look can be a bit of a pain, as some parts are in fairly limited numbers on the sprues.  As the Starks have bascinets and the Lanisters barbutes, the Perry Italian Heads conversion parts were a really useful solution. It does mean that my 11 Starks will mostly have only 2 faces, though by the time I add beards it shouldn't notice so much.

*The Cleganes were a lot easier to mix and match as they are much less uniform.

The Stark conversions look great. For the chap on foot, is that WOTR sallet head just sitting on the Agincourt body with no green stuff planned? I was thinking the hoods on the bodies would make such combinations require a fair bit of resculpting, but looking at it there it looks fairly good as is....

Can we see some of your Clegane builds please?  :)

I just learned something! What you call a sallet I called a bascinet and you are of course right.  Similar but different. The sallet is methinks more suited to the Starks than the simpler and earlier bascinet, which I have given to the slightly less sophisticated Boltons.

Anyways, it's unlikely I'll GS the join as it's pretty flush.  I did cut the WotR neck right back to be flush with the base of the chin and rear helmet.

I'll sort out some Clegane imagery in a more.

 :)

Cleganes  :)

12 metal mostly from HYW and 2 plastic WotR.  Extra weapons and shields from the Conquest Norman Knight weapon sprue. Heater shields from Fireforge Cultists (they need GS to tidy damage).

Various styles of weapon, armour and helmet to reflect the rag-tag composition of a band of greedy, violent thugs. There is no uniform as such though each will have something in the distinctive yellow.

Only the Captain and the Banner have pauldrons, being the more wealthy members. The captain is the only mini with a full-face helmet.

Some examples pre GS:

The Cleganes are a nasty bunch so the 14 includes their own torturer (shown here with victims) .... A torture action played in sight or sound of an enemy will cost them morale.

I've just had a go at putting a WOTR head on a HYW body by effectively removing the neck, and it works very well!

Wow, the Cleganes look great. Great use of some of the metal HYW sculpts... I'm going to have a closer look at them and see how I can convert them with plastic WOTR bits to take them forward a few decades...

Perhaps there could also be a small chance that a torture action gets the enemy really angry and makes them attack furiously?

Where are the 'victim' sculpts from?

Is that torturer based on anyone we know, someone very close to home? ;)

Great stuff Steve, loving your attention to detail and the thought that has gone into producing all these. :)
