Looks like an interesting game with a fantastic layout. I like the idea of the different starting points being different cellars, which I guess would have survived pretty much intact despite the ruinous damage above ground. Thanks for sharing
Thanks. Yeah, the cellars worked out nice. In retrospect, we should've separated the Warbands starting in the caverns a little more from the ones in the catacombs. Two of us kind of ran into each other real quick, which made for a very bloody game. :-)
At some point I will come up with some ruined/caved in sections in an MBS theme. Just ran out of time before the game. I like the idea of the cold/freeze/thaw/repeat causing upheaval, wear and tear, etc. I plan to do raised sections at ground level, with sunken/caved in areas at basement/cellar/catacomb level.
For the next game in our campaign I will be doing three levels : 0) ground, -1) catacomb, and -2) cavern. These will be placed side by side on my 4x12 table, but represent a vertical slice of the city. I'll have multiple spots representing access from one level to the level above or below (stairs, ladders, caved in/rubbled slopes).
That is an awesome table.
Just went through the DF shop.
That is not(!!!) a cheap table.
That is a jealousy invoking amount of dwarven forge tiles...
