Black Hat Online Shop not working

We have had an ongoing problem with the website since Tuesday afternoon.

I managed to fix the problem (I thought) yesterday and received 2 new orders but 2 hours later, the whole site is no longer holding session data which means you cannot add anything to your shopping cart.

Nothing has changed in out software so it is a change on the hosting sever.  At the moment I am at a loss at how to fix it (and I have pretty good knowledge of Oscommerce after 10 years).

I am starting the process of porting the whole shop to a new woocommerce shop which will hopefully solve the problems of running an old Oscommerce version which requires an old version of PHP.
