Sleepy Hollow wargaming?
« on: November 29, 2015, 12:38:22 PM »
Couldn't find an exisiting topic so here goes. I'm really into the legend of Sleepy Hollow and want to bring it to the table. But are there any rules for it? Witch Finder General could perhaps be modified. But I am looking for something more concrete. Any ideas? thanks!

There's the "Witching Hour" Supplement for Crooked Dice "7th Voyage" which should fit ;)

Strange Aeons might work for it, as it is easily adaptable. It is a quick and fun game that is already horror based.

West Wind Gothic Horror has a nice range. The rules governing Sleepy Hollow are in the Realms of Terror supplement.

"One of My Men Became Restless" focuses on 15mm Horse & Musket periods and 25mm Horse & Musket, Fantasy, Horror and Victorian everything! Occasionally there'll be stuff of related interest but it's mostly a painters blog.  See it all here: http://flashman14.blogspot.com/

I'll second this. Lots of cool stuff in it, and was also good for the Solomon Kane and Castlevania projects I have in mind.

Wargaming Sleppy Hollow is an idea I'm flirting with from a long time!

Here you can find "The Battle for Sleppy Hollow" using Warhammer rules, loosely based on the Oldhammer classic "Terror of the Lichemaster" : http://www.sfsfw.org/a/32/sleepy.php

And this fellow used the boardgame "A Touch of Evil" as a basis for a skirmish game with miniatures and lovely scenery, that suits Sleepy Hollow very well: http://bogdanwaz.blogspot.com.br/2013/11/a-touch-of-evil-boardgame.html

Have fun, and keep us posted!  :)

As Sterling Moose said, Blue Moon have a dedicated box set of figures for Sleepy Hollow, which also include a single page set of rules. I suspect the rules may be taken from the 'Chaos in Carpathia' rulebook, which would be worth looking into as it's an awesome game and very well suited to some Ichabod Crane based fun.
...and what fresh new hell is this?
