★SA2nd★ [December 2015] Letīs talk about… Fishmen, Hybrids and Innsmouth!
Hello together,

here we go again! We create a discussion thread for one specific unit or topic  with a focus for one month. Of course itīs possible to contribute to a certain thread after that month, but itīs nice to have a focus. And the last month helped me with my painting schedule a lot :)

Quote

"A peculiar secret cult had gained force here (in Innsmouth) and had engulfed all the orthodox churches. It was called the 'The Esoteric Order of Dagon' and was undoubtedly a debased quasi-pagan thing imported from the East a century before."

This month: Fishmen, Hybrids and Innsmouth!

Feel free to share

… miniature suggestions for fishmen
… pictures of your painted hybrids
… your favorite setup and loadouts for an Innsmouth game
… link reports from the battlefield including Deep Ones
… homemade rules or units with a seaside flair

If this catches on, we go on with another modell for the next month. The topic for this month was found using this poll: http://strawpoll.me/6106538

Fish? We have plenty of fish! Muahahaha!

London thugs from Gothic Horror - the generic Sailors described in Call of Cthulhu and other tailes needed some representation- and I figured the Innsmouth look is passable at 28mm...

Here's on of my favorite interpretations of deep-ones/fishmen, the Carnevale Rashaar, a good mini, of a suitably impressive size - enough to intimidate the stoutest hearted -Threshold agent.

I'll bite (see what I did there?).

Again, stuff for the Innsmuth boxed set. I still have the 3 hybrids, and one robed fishman to complete yet.
Here's what's done so far;

Here's a couple I did a few years ago too:

Here's all of my Fishmen/Dagonites in one group shot...
Most have been posted already in smaller groups but I will post some smaller group close-ups in the next few days.

Now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb...

As promised... ;)

Demigogues - a selection of models that have served as the defacto demigogue/cult leader of my various Lurker/Cult lists over the years.  A selection of Reaper, Rattrap and Uncle Mike's models.  The 3 at the back have been converted, the front 2 are unconverted:

Hybrids - Rattrap and UMW miniatures, all unconverted:

Fishmen - Rafm and UMW figures, unconverted except for the 2 Fishmen in the back right:

Deep Ones - Reaper and UMW models, the UMW Deep One on the right is converted:

I've always enjoyed how despite using various model lines with variable scales, heights and styles, the overall groups tie-in together quite nicely with some good variety and a great overall look on the table.

Let's keep those pics coming!  I'm enjoying seeing what others have put together for their Fishmen lists.  There is some great painting on display here!  :D :-* 8)

Forgot about that sharky guy. I don't think you have ever put him on the table for a game against me. Sounds like a good reason for a game...
