Black Dossiers?
« on: 02 December 2015, 04:52:02 AM »
Are the Black Dossiers still usable with the new 2nd edition? Just wondering- I've wanted to play the Lovecraft and Dunwich ones, played the lost land and the test island.

They should work fine...with the obvious upgrades needed for second edition (change PP to EP and use the Lurker profiles in the Second Edition book over the ones presented in the dossier, where possible). Haven't gotten around to actually playing them with second edition rules myself so be sure to tell me how it goes!

So do you think the rules for starting a Black Dossier should be the same with the new rules for promotion?

Is there a location where someone could download a Black Dossier?

I think they are only in the supplements for the 1st edition.

The Black Dossiers are only available in Shocking Tales Of Madness And Mayhem...and only formatted for first edition. As previously stated they will work fine with a few tweeks for now. Could it be possible they are being re-worked for Second Edition?  :-X

Somebody just loaned me STOMAM #2- this is the kind thing I was looking for to expand and make this hobby "perfect".

Edit- I'm looking at old may #2: not kidding- this is exactly what this games need to keep it alive indefinitely for me. Amazing product and writing. Mike- you hit on magic. I'm kinda jealous.
