I never understood that series of books and gave up quickly arfter the first one.

anyway don't do that Roland model get the Ceril one out first I need that for an Elric mini and he looks the mustard.  :-*

ok only joking  ;D

The first one, Gunslinger was written donkey's years ago and it shows in the writing style. Apparently he's re-written it so it is now a much better read and fits in better with the rest of the series. It's had plenty of very good reviews.

I hope so, as I'm getting the first two for Christmas....

Oh and Ceril is a very desirable model  :D

Sorry for the thread ressurection, but has anyone seen "The Mist" and the painting Thomas Jane is working on at the start of the film? If so, do you know where I can find a copy of the image?

Yes, perfect. It gives me a good feel for the mini without making it easy to copy it outright, because we all know I don't like to rip off other people's ideas :D

Might be worth picking up some of the comics - although they focus mainly on young Rolans, I'm sure at the start of the series there were at least a couple pics of him as an adult... Plus the fact that they're absolutely beautiful...

For the face, apparently he has the eyes of Clint Eastwood and other traits of Stephen King according to the books...

That's what I figured when I read the last part... lol

But you can ignore the SK resemblance as that was a later addition when the author started appearing in the books and they got shit.

Although a certain resemblance to the Man With No Name would not be out of order.

I am painting up some Heresy Blights to use for a game on Friday as Famnites (deadlands) and with this thread...one day when I get some cash together I would love to pull a small range of Weird West characters e.g. undead gunslingers, Hex Slingers, hanging judges etc

I have most of what is out there (copplestone desparadoes on the list for Salute) bar the old Jeff Valent figures which some of which are OK but way too big to fit with anything else and some are a bit dodgy and show their age. :D

Its your fault Kev...yours I tell you now I cant get this idea out of my head :D ;D
