I have to confess I'd been recently bitten by the Black Ops bug. After finding some old 10mm models I still wanted 28mm stuff, and, possibly from a link somewhere on LAF, ended up on the Evil Bear website. My aim was to buy some troops, and I went for a set of generic moderns, no assembly and quite crisp. And I couldn't resist the more expensive Panther:
http://www.evilbearwargames.com/product/panther-command-and-control-tes-28mm-single/It's a lovely resin model with some metal parts, very crisp and with a good potential for conversion, and even some changes using the parts provided. The main body and doors are one piece, with the wheels and axles and several accessories as loose items.
I should point out that they also have
15mm scale models of this...
The shop was closed for a Christmas break, but I was in no hurry and made the order anyway - which arrived today, and seeing I'm in Malta delivery was ahead of what I expected due to said break.
The service was all round good, packaging was excellent, the product as advertised, but more fun I think
I also got a free copy of the Oscar Sierra Charlie skirmish rules, which are suitable for modern small teams ops. I haven't read through them yet, but they seem quite interesting, with rules for several different weapons and an army building points system. A second future set will cover vehicles, specialists and heavy weapon teams.
One particularl point: the rules were being distributed free with orders over a certain price because they had a badly trimmed lot in stock. My copy just had 2 single pages with small trimming defects which did not detract from the booklet at all, but I was very impressed by the attention to quality evinced by this detail.
