This, except I'm using Litko laser cut plywood bases for my Frostgrave figures.  Like Philhelm I'm using 25mm for all my human sized figures, and a selection of larger (30mm-50mm) for larger things.

I was a little disappointed that I had to put the Frostgrave War Hound on a 30mm base (that's a big dog they've got there), but for me, basing consistency is important.  Even models with a different aesthetic or from a different company can be tied together with basing uniformity.

^^^This! It's the same reason I use Renedra bases for my models if I can.
