Great work on the Bamboo.I have some that will be getting a similar treatment.

Have you seen the Manga Ninjascroll? That is a really cool film and well worth watching if you have not already seen it.

Thanks  for the encouragement everyone.  This project is a slow burn, but I suspect that it will continue for years, so its nice to get feedback.

Nice! I always love the riot of colours in all of your stuff!

Thanks!

I am generally drawn to the trashy and gaudy - Mega City One being a touchstone visual for me for my entire life for example - so I try to get as much colour as I can into my projects.  Life is brown and grey enough I find.

Andy, would you believe that coincidentally the Ninja Scroll DVD arrived yesterday morning and I watched it last night? :D

The setting, loosely based in history with very many fantastical, fantasy elements is exactly the sort of environment that I imagine my toy soldiers living in.

Great recommendation, thanks :)

Ninja scroll was one of my favorites when i was younger and into the Manga stuff. Some great characters in it and it does go for the more fantasy element which i like.

That's a great mantra to live by!

I played five games of Test of Honour this weekend. It was fun.

As it was our first game of the system, the Shonen Knives stood in for both sides, but by the time that we finished plans were being made for more buntai.

I took a few snaps in game.  The photos are not brilliant, but I think that they are reasonably evocative.

More photos and some talk about Test of Honour (short version: its great fun) can be found in the blog post.
