PROCREATE REVIEW
« on: December 07, 2008, 01:36:48 AM »
recently i ordered some procreate from heresy miniatures.
i decided to write a review, since being a devoted green stuff-ist (lol) i have been converted as procreate is to say the least brilliant.
some initial thoughts.
> the lot is a lot smaller than i expected.

> good packaging. / informative / pretty  :D

> packaging from heresy on the other hand, i opened it in a flurry and it went everywhere, paper shreds that is >:( .
> came with a free lolly. THAT HIT THE SPOT!!  >:D

i tested the medium gray mix. which is medium cure time and medium hardness.
> it mixes very well.
> it sculpts small details much better than greenstuf and the gray color does help to  see the sculpt, given you have the right lighting.
> smooths a lot better than greenstuff and holds its shape much better.
so to test i started a project i have been meaning to work on for a good month or so. i want to make a (blend) monk from assassins creed in 28mm, and i want changeable heads (i plan to cast it). i decided to make one of the heads. here are some images. (his eyes are closed not to cause confusion.)

and here is a picture of the pretty instructions i stuck to my window. they are very good and straightforward.

thanks for reading.
