Oh, i didn't know that jens dropped pardulon! That sounds like a serious compliment, thanks!
Too bad that right now this range is paused, since WDM is focusing on the spaceship game, and we're not sure when it will start again.
I am discussing about a similar project in 28mm with SPECTRE miniatures, but it's still not sure. I'd really love to have a full working range one day or another. :(

And after more than three months of silence and inconclusive answers i should probably forget about Spectre miniatures and look somewhere else.
Any suggestion - contact about some 28mm manifacturers interested in this kind of buildings - maybe smaller or ruined ones?

Thanks
Jack

Cheers everyone!

A few updates from the front:

first - my endeavours with 28mm have finally started, so my works in 15mm are being reduced partially.
second - the various sculpts shown here were at ROBIN in Nottingham last weekend, and it's always a satisfaction seeing models on stands.

(pics taken by Uti Long Smile from Crooked Dice Miniatures, thanks chap!)

Third - i've started two more shanties, they'll see the light hopefully soon! Since those will be closed i am starting this time

Also - the Hab Block is now produced with a different casting method and the price is now much more reasonable, which is a plus.

Soon updates! :)

Cheers,
Jack

updates on the second shanty building so far!
I wanted to add more verticality to the game with a playable rooftop area, and this shanty turned out to be slightly larger than the previous. Well, almost double in size.

first panels in position:

A little more done:

updates within the weekend! Hopefully a finished pic!

Cheers

Annd some updates, the last before the end of this larger shanty! All in position, only detailing and filler to do!

note a good number of detailing elements not used in any work previously.. more will come in the next builds! :)

Cheers

Hello everyone!

While lacking inspiration to complete the building above, i completed a third building that will be part of the same set of shanties.
This time, the core structure is in form concrete, but i added a nice backyard full of random scraps for the joy of all the painters out there.

As always, C&C are welcome!

I'm aware that 15mm isn't the favourite scale around here, but any impression and sculpting suggestions are always precious!

Thank you
Jack

Very nice work on both of these new buildings.

I hope to pick-up some of the buildings at the Chillcon show.

So cool parts ..... unfortunatly in 15mm  :'(  At the last Shanty to Formconcrete looks very cool but I bet some people will be irritated by the vertical pattern instead the more common horizontal. Non the less, very very beautifull builds!

WDM will definitely produce them! Alan is pressing me to finish them ASAP! I think they'll be ready for the next conventions, but with shipping and everything one can never know!

Thank you Delta! :) I try to diversify, working both in 15mm and in 28mm alltogether! Here's my current 28mm project:

And this one almost done as well:

As for the horizontal planking lines, i agree that are more common, but to be honest i've seen plenty of both around. Since i started doing form concrete models i really pay attention to that everywhere i go! ^_^
