Even space marines need a place to park their bum for a 5 minute breather during a firefight  :D

So the city fight board is on hold until the rest of my MDF buildings turn up (taking a worryingly long time if I'm honest) in the mean time I've gone back to finish another long started never finished 40K army this time a Lost and the Damned army dedicated to the outcast god Malal (or Malice). The background fluff for this army can be found here

 https://diablocrusade.wordpress.com/2017/03/20/kegreon-iii-and-the-brotherhood-of-spite/

So like a lot of my projects I have some stuff for this army finished, some not even started and some half finished here are a few pictures of the stuff that is finished

1st a cultist unit converted from WFB flagellants

A Giant Chaos Spined Beast

and some chaos spawn

More pictures and waffle on my blog for those interested here

lots more to come for this army in the form of mutants, demons and cultists

Ah Malal, the best of the Chaos Gods.  Where's Kaleb Daark gotten off to?  :)

Well it depends he is either an Arch Heretic

or has ascended to Daemonhood

Nice crisp painting. But that eye! Not going to get many swipe rights.

Superb! The Chaos Spawn and Flagellant kits are both great sources of conversion parts, but apparently I'd been overlooking those ogres until now.

Lovely mutants!  Especially the drooping eye guy lol

And I also like the Malal theme.

If I can just add a bit of C&C I think perhaps you could achieve more by adding a bit of grime and filth to them. They look almost pristine. Between the traitor guard you posted first and these, the traitor guard wins out because of the nitty gritty look in my opinion.

Its a fair comment were I starting the army from scratch I'd probably go more grime and grit but I'm to far in to want to go back know. I'm already planning my next Renegade army and the test pieces are a lot dirtier and less uniform.

I've finished up another unit for my brotherhood army this time 20 mutants converted from plastic cultists and chaos spawn bits.

that leaves 5 daemons and two man 10 cultist squads to go.

Ok along time since I posted on this thread. I lost my enthusiasm for 40K a bit and got distracted by other projects so this one just sort of drifted. Recently I got drawn back in by the UK release of Warhammer 40K Conquest Magazine. The chance to pick up some cut price miniatures with a magazine at my local news agents was to much. After a couple of magazines I took the plunge on the 8th edition mini starter set called First Strike and I'm hooked again.

I really like the (relatively) new Death Guard so I've painted up the three man mini unit from the starter set and thought I'd share a few pictures
