Stunning stuff, I think that they still look quite futuristic. I also like the grand ideas that the planners and architects embraced, pity it was mostly wasted on us puny humans!

I used to never really care for Modernism, with Art Deco being my favourite movement/style, but I've made a 180 over the past couple of years and I'm a huge fan now. I blame my love for Gerry Anderson's UFO series for that; it had some really examples throughout.

You have to admire the optimism of the architects; there's so much positivism and ambition evident in those projects. For sure, many of those buildings/estates/projects have stood the test of time, even though they've sadly become dilapidated. Just another wilted dream I suppose, but there still is plenty of beauty in those pictures.

Most, if not all, of those pictures could immediately be used as inspiration for scifi gaming terrain, from Infinity to 40K.
