Mornings all!

I thought i'd share my Skaven Witchband with you all.
Many models were used from my Mordheim warband, with some additions to fit Frostgrave!
If you frequent the BoW forums you may recognise some from one of the painting threads.

The Whole Gang
Far too many for a warband, but all the models I currently use.

Wizard and Apprentice
 --- Veshik and Rikrik

Thugs and Slings (Bowmen)
--- 2humps, Nopants, 3scars, Incharge, 2scars and Warts
Incharge has the handcuffs... and we assume the keys.... all named after features on them...

The Upgrades
I cant quite bring myself to replace my grunts, they've served the boss well, and nooone have yet to bite the dust...
But when the do..
Men-At-Arms, 2 sword guy, fighting claws, Crossbowmen.  Will need to find a proxy for the claws/swords guy.

The Beasts
Flisk and Klesk (Warhounds) and One-Ear (Bear).

The latest Members
I've had a few days off, and finally got round to painting up these guys.
Barbarian, Musician, Ranger, Apothacary.  I do like the old metal model for the barb, as he's noticably bigger than everyone else. fitting.

If you have any Ideas of simple conversions let me know, always looking for another that I can add to the list.
Thought about some of the plaguemonks models/bits, since they're all holding bits of paper and staves, they could make for good ...wizardscribes(cant remember the name right now...)

Next on the list though, some more Random Encounter mobs to add to list!

Great warband!

Try swapping in Night Goblin arms - they fit the Plague Monks passably well, and give you access to a range of different weapons, including shields, spears and bows.

Come to think of it, the Frostgrave Cultist (and Soldier, for that matter, though the weapons are a little less 'Skaven') arms might work well too. Haven't tried it, but the joins are the same simple flat types. It's also a good way to get a crossbow on the little rats!

Otherwise, I think I've seen something nice done with the old Mordheim mercenary (now the Empire Free Company) arms. The style is a little too different for my taste, but the scale and fit is good.

You've stolen my idea!

...Before I even did it. ;D

I like the colour scheme, it's what I was considering going for but I no longer know. Really nice paintjob all around.

I'll do this before you do, though!

Nicely done. Love your Wizard and hour clever use of counts-as summoned beasts.

Nice.  I thought of doing the same, before I remembered I had a shed-load of other figures that needed a reason to be used (the Skaven get to play Mordheim).

Thanks Smith, will maybe give it a bash, although, if throwsFireball wants to let me know how it goes!

They look awful (way too large) on clanrats but they look pretty good on plaguemonks. Definitely an easy way to get bows on the go. I'm gonna put mine on clanrats by snipping the bows and attaching them directly to the hands.

Thanks for the heads up.  I used Empire Archer bows/quivers on the 1 ranger I have.  Found it to be an acceptable fit, and yeah had to snip and stick it onto the hands.  For the Crosbowmen I pinched the crosbows of a mates empire guys again.
Again have to do some sniping to make them fit, and they were again acceptable, maybe a bit bigger than the wee rats would make themselves, but that said they were for mordheim, (and in my head all man-thing gear is looted from the dead!)

GypsyB's Frosgravings - (Updated 29-Feb) - Baddies!
« Reply #10 on: 29 February 2016, 07:47:56 PM »
Here are some of the Baddies! i've painted up.
The intention was for a Mordheim warband, but we moved onto Frostrgrave! I actually took the photos at the same time as me Skaven, but CBA putting them up at that time!

Frogs
Im not keen on me frogs, i didnt enjoy painting and i think it shows a bit. But Meh! Frogs!
Reckon they'll only make it onto the forest/woods terrain settings.

Undead Wolves
Wolves, Undead Wolves, Proxy Wolves, something wolves.

The Chosen Men
Doomed to wander Graveheim for all eternity...
Im thinking of an NPC/Creature warband that moves in groups during the Soldier phase.... some custom rules perhaps ???

The King, The Giant, The Gladiator
Proxys for baddies me thinks.

The Necromancer, The Banshee, The Vampire
The Leaders of my Mordheim band, and the Vampires "Ex" Wife in my little Story....

Zambies
Zeds, Ghouls, and my square based practices.
The blue legs was the 1st painted, as i tried to make a "colder" looking zombie.  Seems appropriate in the new setting.
The 3 Zeds on the end are named, "Trips", "Take my Hand", and "Hugs".

And on a reply of his Own, The latest addition to the baddies.

Painted him over last week, and finished up over the weekend.
A proxy for an Undead Giant!

I feel i need to sort out the blood on the base between the legs.
I used UHU glue for the gore on the claws, and as such, he is now know as "YooHOO" the Mourngul.
Need to find the wee toy I got for his "Shrine"...

Evenings,
Thought Id post some WIPS of what i've been doing.
Had a game in over the weekend, and decided I needed to make more!

Test for the Library Scenario - Idea Shamelessly theived from JP

Treasure Markers - Decided to actually create some, rather than use the wee treasure boxes.
Also needed to make more, to try and get some 3 player games in.
