Malifaux - Yin the Penangalan ADDED: China Town Penangalan

Latest project, a Penanagalan from Wyrd's Malifaux Ten Thunders range.  For those asking what a penangalan is, read "those weird foating head with viscera vampire things form Asian folklore" instead.









Plastic model on a 40mm base, larger than man sized in the 28mm-ish scale Malifaux uses although the head itself is appropriately scaled.  Seems reasonable.  Intestines are pretty long when they're all uncoiled and flopping around outside of a torso, after all.

ADDED:  Both the penangalan figures from the old China Town range Stone Circle Games used to make.









Mounted on 1" hex bases, so much smaller than the Malifaux version.  Still nicely detailed and just as creepy.  Their faces are quite a bit uglier than Yin's, so these are probably more the "hideous crone/witch" type when wearing their bodies than Yin's more "geisha/innocent schoolgirl" thing.

Tapping the brain trust out there.  I know about these three figs, and the Reaper penangalan.  Are there any other minis of these critters out there I haven't seen?

Thanks.  Going to have to hunt up that Okko fig.  Or do a conversion of my own that incorporates the headless body in a similar fashion.  That's got some real potential there.
