hello,

I started a blog for okko, the boardgame. But you'll find pictures about 3D sceneries and figurines.

Sorry, it's in french   :(

I take my hat off to you. Without doubt the loveliest terrain pieces. Composition, execution and attention to detail are all superb.

Now I just need to brush up on my French so I can attempt to read the pages as well as drooling over the pictures.

Superb stuff.

That really is outstanding, even amongst the exceptional standard set by much of this forum.
The buildings are absolutely fantastic.

toutatis, I own Okko (great game) and I think I see an addon coming out, Yukuza (sorry do't read French). Is this correct? When will it be released in English? There also appears to be French scenarios, any chance of having them translated to English as well.

I checked your site okko-thegame.com and it does not mention anything new. Is it update often?

Keep up the great work.

Thank you Terrible Tim,

A little expansion is already out ( the Yakuzas : 9 new characters, all mercenaries. )
Asmodee US is the distributor of the english version. You can find it here :
http://www.asmodee-us.com/games/strategy/okko-expansion-i.php

the price for Europe is 9€90.

The french scenarios are made by fans, so it's difficult to translate them. There is a file available by the blog to "build" scenarios. Imagine yours in english and send me your work  ;-)

the site okko-thegame  in english is not updated very often. the site okko-the game, french version is more updated. visit it.

sorry for my english.

If you have any questions, post in the french forum, some of us talk english very well  ;)  (more than me)

Thanks Laurent, Yakuza is now on my wish list.

Maybe okko-thegame site should link to asmodee-us.com site.

Laurent, I read some where that Rackham is making a board game based on the Okko system. What sort of game will it be? Is it a new Hybrid style game?

Saturday, we had an afternoon of playing Okko at the local games club (new blood). It was very popular. The rules are simple, the games where fast and fun and they have a very good level of tactics. The games when for: the quickest a few miniutes (Assassination) to the longest about 50 minutes (Also the Assassination mission). One of the guys is already talking about buying the miniatures!  :-*

Value for money and replayablity makes this one of best games I have bought in years. I hope to see more quality games from you in the future. What are you planning to release after Yukuza?

TT.

I love you Terrible Tim  :-*    lol lol

the first adventures in the adventures book are very simple because they are "introduction scenarios"... just to learn the rules (moving, fighting...). The last ones are better (objectives, special rules...)

thank you for "the good level of tactics"... and more you play, more this level increases.

In France all the Okko boardgames are sold !  ;D  may be a reedition ?!... The game has been "underbuzzed" in US because it contains no plastic figures...  :(  but i have good feedbacks from american players. I hope the same success for the english language.

Now, i'm working for the expansion about magic, Sorcerers, kamis and undeads...  Sorcerers will be able to invocate kamis and to throw again the inspiration dice you don't need. Invocated kamis will be added to your band...
This expansion has the same size as the basic game : 20 new characters (with Noshin the funniest hero in the comic strip), 6 recto-verso tiles, an adventures book, rules for magic and rules for  expert players, with scenario cards. :P

In future, hazgaard wants to "convert" all the 2D characters in 3D characters !!   :o  50 lead figures on my desk  :-*

For Cadwallon, it's not my priority now because i want to finish this expansion first. It's not Rackham who is making a boardgame based on okko system, it's Hazgaard (my editor) who is making a boardgame about Cadwallon universe.  ;)
It will be more "boardgame" than okko, with more interaction between players (up to 4 players)...  more informations in two months  :D
