Frostgrave in Zarren
« on: 22 February 2016, 09:34:57 PM »
If only it was snowing for real in Belgium... Nevermore.

Me and the misses are going to try Frostgrave. With two small kids it ain't easy, but ok, there's worse.
We were avid Warhammer fans, but yeah.... nowadays, after buying all the hardcover End Times books, RIP OFF!!
I still like their models, miss the old scenery, but it's just too sad what happened to our game. Until I found Frostgrave. And it looks so cool, really promising.

First game is still up. I first want to finish the scenery. I have bought the Start Collecting Malignants box for bits like vampires, skeletons, cauldrons.

Photos are some mages. The lady on the left is my witch (to start with).
Scenery is a castle, which I can also use for the scenario's. Still needs finishing, like grass, shading, and final touches like torches, etc..
The beasts are rats, frost spiders, and my own worm. I like this idea more. A beast that can't see, lives underground, like also in sewers, and is huge, so agreeing with the stats in the book. I like it more than a regular worm... I hate worms in fact ).

I look forward to posting more. And especially reading up on all of your exploits (great threads, guys!!!)

Yes, they are. Got lucky to get one set. Also great bits to use for self-made buildings, like gargoyles.

Excellent paintjobs!  I like the terrain too - did you make the mat in the first pic?

Tnx for the heads up!
By the way, I meant with worms, the ugly ones as described in the book. I have plenty of regular ones in my compost heap, and those I love )
It's not a mat, but this:

I have also one tower for wizards, and some ruins coming up. I use real wood for the trees. Small branches. They never start to crumble. And it's not that they look real, they just áre real )
