You can't fool me. That's Steve Urkel.

Not an especially characterful figure though, is it? All the excitement of an HO scale figure waiting for the next train.

And what is he doing with that left hand in his pocket? Probably got a chubby over the fact that we're getting mass market TMNT figs.
Looking for a set of rules that adaptable for different genres.

Even though I was pretty excited about cheap official TMNT, this stuff leaves me rather underwhelmed.

I own the excellent Greeebo not-TMNT and those are so much better. And even the recently launched Kickstarter had more decent sculpts IMO.

I like the '84 ones, not a huge fan of the 2012 Nickelodeon ones though

I'm all over the '84 ones.  So I've never bought clix before, how long until they are out and where is a good place to buy them?

I'm liking them all to be honest. At 40 I was a little to old for the original cartoon though I remember the RPG coming over before hand, never saw the comic as a kid, have read them now though. My boys are mad for the new series so both periods will be must buys for me.

We also got into the series from the 2000's on you tube (yep it's all there) so it would be cool to see these too though it doesn't look likely.

What I really want to see is oodles of Krang and all the mutanimals.

Can't wait to have spiderman and X-men help the TMNT and mutanimals defeat the Krang or the sinister six.  Shredder vs Wolverine? The hand vs the foot? The triceraton vs the Rhino vs rockstaedy?

Also I echo fergal about how to buy these. I've only bought supers heroclix cheaply years after they were released. How long before cheap swaps are being sold of these? I'm not sure I want to get into buying packets of miniatures whose contents I cannot see.

The hand vs the foot?

Seems almost deliberate, doesn't it? lol  ;)

Going by pics here and blurb here, the starter sets might cover a lot of the basic characters and mooks. But yeah, look like rest will be foil-packed. Might be alright if you want a lot of Foot. :?

(I got sidetracked by the dice masters game announced as non-collectible, 'til I realised it didn't involve minis...)

Most comic shops will have them.  Heroclix are mostly blind purchases.  If you want to know what you are buying you can buy them individually from Troll and Toad or Popular Collections.

I find this ebay store to be pretty well priced:

http://www.ebay.com.au/usr/woolverine?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2754

If you're worried about singles prices, just wait a few months until the next set comes out and there will be a drop on most of the commons and uncommons.

So, you just buy random boxes?  That's...crazy...

Will there be a box of TMNT game 'clix'?  If you buy a case are you guaranteed one of everything?  Is this all on a blog somewhere?

I don't think you are guaranteed anything unless it's a boxed set. Most of the miniatures will come foil wrapped. I think some people like this aspect of the surprise and collecting, I'm sure WizKids do, what a brain wave that one was.

Anyhow I've picked up loads of superhero stuff at just pence a go, I don't like paying anymore than 50p if I can help it. The big re sellers are great especially in the states so I have to make big orders to make the postage worth it. What I don't know is how long you have to wait for the re sellers prices to come down. Hat guy suggests a few months, can I wait?

I guess the proportions matter to, if every fifth foil wrapped miniature is a Casey Jones but only one in every twenty is a Krang there are going to be a lot of cheap Caseys out there and a lot of money wasted trying to get enough Krang.

They do box sets that have a number of figures in it. The others you need to get from the blind booster packs sadly.

The sculpts are boring. Why not something dramatic?  Three or four people have posted much more dynamic sculpts.  Oh look, there's Mikey holding his chucks waiting for the mail to arrive!  Where is the bashing, jumping, slicing, hoofing turtles?

Release date is sometime this march. (Soonish?).

As for buying them in blind boosters, there is going to be lots available on the secondary market as collectors will buy boxes of them to make up their own sets, then sell the doubles. The more popular ones will sadly go for a little more, but the more common ones won't be that much.

Yep, thats true.

If you want such poses, go for Greebos Turtle Fantasy Football team, which can easily be converted.
