Hey, everyone.

Just curious as to what everyone's favourite dragon miniature is and why?

While the production of it nearly killed the maker both financially ans tress wise, I think the heresy dragon is hard to beat. Price wise the reaper bones dragons are just great, really should get one, but if their hydra is anything to go by I won't be disappointed.

There's only ever been one dragon for me, and that's Citadel's Great Spined Dragon, by Nick Bibby:

A perfect example of a dragon that looks both malevolent and intelligent

Reaper does nice ones, the Heresy one is stunning, some others come to mind.

I always end up at my big old fave, Teronus The Ultimate Dragon

Which I still mean to get a new one from Mirliton, maybe I should look at the hobby budget for next month...

A more modern one, but certainly my favourite, is the Reaper 'Pathfinder Red Dragon':

(This painted version curtesy of Dblood from cmon)

Though the Mirliton Black Dragon is also a particular favourite of mine:

... and for a final pick, this one is neat as well (also reaper):

Too many to mention  ;).

From the ones I have I like T'Char from Ral Partha a lot...

... or Draco Dracorum ...

... or Niddhog the Wyrm, but I also fancy the classic Nick Bibby / Tom Meier and Grenadier dragons.
Still collecting, though  ;).

Edit@Affun: Lol, that Back Dragon is sitting at my desk right now, looking very disappointed I didn't mention him  lol

The anthropomorphised face really does it for me. Like it's actually scheming.

Kind of like the Grenadier Shire Dragon, who I think of as the "Reggae Dragon".

So many to chose from.....one is possibly the old Archive Miniatures Imperial Dragon sculpted by Nevile Stocken.

Some great choices here.

I don't actually own the figure, but I have always liked this one by Black Tree: http://eoeorbis.com/collections/fantasy/products/fa77914-cyaneous-the-blue-dragon?variant=1314883652

Something about the shape of his snout and long slithery neck just shouts dragon (or wyrm) to me.

Ral Partha Red Dragon of Krynn. As was also on the Legend of Huma book.

I'd also say the heresy one. But the favourite one I own would have to be the oathsworn dragon.

Rackham had a gigantic dragon which looked awesome, and Ral Partha had so many different ones that it's hard to pick a favorite just from their selection. They had a Extraterrestial Dragon which looked like H.R. Giger's Alien, a Panther Dragon, Vulture Dragon, Undead Dragon, Cyclops Dragon...

I've painted quite a few Dragons by a fair number of mini makers for other Folk; AND I must confess I hated them all equally.
