Pittsburgh Path to Glory Game
« on: 14 March 2016, 12:05:27 AM »
There is no Steelers content in this post.

We had our Path to Glory game today.  We had a decent turn out.  Six people showed up to either play or watch, 5 of them ended up playing.

The first pair of games saw Nurgle take on Khorne and Tzeentch take on Slaanesh.

More pictures of the first game can be seen here:

Cool looking floating island, and great photos.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Game two saw Nurgle take on Slaanesh and put the boots to the God of Excess's followers, that was a Spellbreaker scenario and the only thing that got broken was Slaanesh's army.

On the other side Khorne tried to stop Tzeentch from completing the Ritual.  And failed.  Just barely though.

By crumbs it was close.

The third game paired up the armies that had not fought yet, so Nurgle took on Tzeentch in a Reclaim the Fallen game while Khorne attacked Slaanesh in an attempt to get onto the floating island.

Slaanesh was almost wiped out to a man.  In fact they were.  One marauder escaped the butchery along with two harpies.

Unfortunately the other game ended in a draw as we ran out of time.

Much thanks to Phantom of the Attic for hosting the game.

And also thanks to Games Workshop for providing prize support.  All of the participants walked away with a Chaos knight model and the Nurgle player scored herself a Gutrot Spume ( https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Rotbringers-Gutrot-Spume ) figure for having the most powerful war band at the end of the game.

I'm glad you liked the floating island. It was sort of an engineering project.  The list is why no one lets me building bridges in real life.

We had a of fun with the games.  Daylight savings time delayed the start a bit today but overall people had a lot of fun, I had a blast running it.

I used to go to Phantom of the Attic occasionally when I lived in Pittsburgh.

So, is that supposed to be the Floating Island of Shimmertarn?  And is it floating over the remnants of the once grassy plains of Averland?   lol

Phantom of the Attic is great.  They really provided a lot of support for running the game and said we were welcome to come back and do it anytime.

The floating island, Yesnereug, sometimes floated over the ruined foundries of the lands of man until it was chained in place by the Master Carver Llensa.  Recently doing a stint in Pittsburgh, obviously.
