Grumpy's Miniatures comparison?
« on: March 16, 2016, 11:14:22 PM »
Quick (hopefully) question - does anyone know how the 15mm Grumpy's Miniatures (in the UK from ERM) figures (specifically the various 'eastern' types compare size-wise to Eureka's 15mm Samurai and/or the Peter Pig samurai range?

Have looked around for a comparison pic or somesuch but couldn't find anything pertinent so any info much appreciated.

Thanks!

I have Grumpy's Cossacks, Landsknechts, Malay, Ming and Tupi along with some of Eureka's Sumarai.

Grumpy figures are... dumpy; but I like that about them (particularly the Landsknechts and Tupi I have) .

Comparing the Malays and Samurai they have similar body proportions, with the Grumpy being a smigin wider and taller (0.5mm?). The horse are hard to tell apart.

Ahha, excellent!

I have Portuguese from Grumpy's and like them a lot, but for a another little project looking at picking up some Malay and others and putting together some sort of campaign based on chaps like this

Sengoku samurai maybe a little out of place, but something along those lines should work I think.

Thanks - Eureka it will be then.
