A few new Artizan pulpy types
« on: December 23, 2008, 11:18:51 PM »
Just posted on the Artizan Yahoo group...

A few new pulp types - one a cowboy (Roy Rogers?), can't quite make out the others, but the fat guy looks a lot like a near relative of Mike's Foundry sea-dog sculpt aka Sir John Falstaff!

Hemingway perhaps?  ;)

Plus another resistance pack - with fixed bayonets... interesting...

that guy with the lewis gun looks like Yul Brynner.. I really don't recall any character played by him like that ... but it sure looks like him!

the minis are all very nice! :)

All of them are great, but the fat guy and the other cowboy are both amazing sculpts.
Did they mention any release dates?

Post from Mike Owen says:

Hi,
there is quite a lot of new stuff for January. A lot of bits have gone out to trade already (Romano British and some more Partisans) but hasn't appeared on the website.
So early January we are looking at AT guns for the US Paras, more Resistance / Partisans, Cowboy Characters and some Thrilling Tales and Camels and Lewis Guns for the Arab Irregulars.

That cowboy has the nicest fanning action I've seen on a cowboy.  Is he based on Yul Brynner, I know they were looking to do a Magnificent Seven series..........?

Its not Yul Brynner. There is another figure he as already done of him already. This one looks like Vin, the Steve MacQueen character, he wore chaps.
