Nice entries both of you.
Alex, the bonus points you miss from this round may cost you the title!

Such a hard choice between these two! Fantastic diorama from Prof. Witchheimer and a brilliant piece by Hammers. Love the suited figure hiding in the background of the medieval barrage!
Thanks

is the figure in Zum with his back to the camera, red cap, from Pulp Miniatures?
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

In the "Zum" entry.  Who makes the dome-headed officer?  The one off to the right of the scene.

Amazing entry, Peder, love the siege machines and the choice of the figures. Very evocative as usual!

Yes, exactly. Count Casamir's Trans-Siberian Renegades.

In the "Zum" entry.  Who makes the dome-headed officer?  The one off to the right of the scene.

Eureka. Sorry, no link, couldn't find him on their page.

Wow  :-*

Peder, the siege engines are just fabulous. I love Don Quixote. And you STILL managed to get the inspector and his dog into the picture lol

Alex, you are on a roll - another brilliantly staged, evocative diorama. Just stunning in every way. (I am not looking forward to my turn against the Prof's dioramic meat-grinder!  :'()

Two very nice entries indeed!

Alex, I just love the little scene in the left background showing Professor Witchheimer talking to a guy who could be inspector Vladimir Felix Gonzales Hammershield ...  lol

The pilots' leather outfits are particularly good. Right down to the sheepskin lining. What colour / make of brown paint did you use for those, Alex? It's a really rich, deep brown.

I agree. And yes, Alex is on fire this season. This round is particularly unbeatable. I could just as well have taken a picture of my own refuse as an entry.

Thanks, Richard. I think I've basically used the Foundry TAN Brown (14 A and 14 B), although I currently use to mix a lot on my wet palette so it might be that I've added some ingredients but surely not much.

Thanks, Peder, appreciate that but I think your entry is not less great, it's really a beautiful idea and execution and I like it a lot. I'm actually quite jealous of these engines. Always wanted to play a siege , starting with WHFB, but it failed again and again because of need of engines or of need to paint them :)

I have played a siege and they are slow tedious things, not worth it. Trebuchets are better off as scenery or perhaps as an object of a sortie. Well, so think I, anyway.

The right catapult and the middle trebuchet are 1/72 Zvezda, by the way, The left is scratchbuilt and more to the correct scale, at least for a large siege machine.
