Little Round Top
« on: 05 April 2016, 10:48:57 AM »
The Monday Nighters played an ACW game using Regimental Fire And Fury rules and set near LR Top using the scenario from the book.

A magical place:

'So do all who see such times. But that is not for us to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that we are given.'

Thanks John, very nice of you to say so. I,m not sure about these rules , they seem to play a little " slow " for my taste , but then I d,ont like Black Powder with all the " jumping over units " ala knights in chess. The stand out rules of last year , for me , were Lion Rampant  then again not suitable for big battles,  hey ho ! the search goes on for the perfect ruleset........

I also have Across a Deadly Field and scenario books but never played them.

I also just preordered Glory Hallelujah which may be a major alteration to BP.

I think that Osprey are onto a good thing with their rules priced at £14 , I,m becoming more reluctant to fork out £30 - 40 for " picture book rules " with supplements at £20, before you know it your down £100, then find that you d,ont like them.  The new Sharpe Practice set should be out soon and our group are looking forward to them, I wonder what price they,ll be .
