Bloody Big Battles rules and using 28mm
« on: April 07, 2016, 06:34:49 PM »
For those of us who are confirmed 28mm fans but who relish Grand Tactical gaming dont discard Bloody Big Battles as being only for the smaller scales.....I have spent sometime following battle reports, reading the rules .....and am convinced the following basing will still keep the ethos without being too cumbersome

Infantry 40mm by 40mm
Cavalry 50mm by 50mm
Artillery 50mm by 50mm

As my pockets are not deep it does allow me to put together 28mm Divisions based on minimal castings.

I've no idea if those will work as I've not tried the rules....but I'm keen to as it's the basing convention I use for my 28mm 18th and 19thC armies.

Are you planning a trial run?

Will do once I get a division a side done......will multiply movement and firing distances by 1.5...although the inf bases are close enough to Chris's basing recomendations but felt it would not look right for 28mm if I stuck to the distances in the rules.
