Sure, why not? The spell only specify a weapon, a bow is one.

That's the way we read it and played it!  It was kind of awesome on an enchanted bow:)

A bow doesnt do any damage, the arrow does, so it would have to be cast on the arrow

Yep, Joe has confirmed that.  There's nothing to stop you casting it on the bow, but it is a waste.

I didn't see a confirmation in that link.  It's a one time shot so what does it matter whether it's the bow or the arrow.  I don't see that it couldn't stack with an enchanted bow but  If the bow is enchanted it doesn't count as magic.  If it has elemental Hammer, it does.  Also as we don't use kill experience I won't embed an enchantment as enchant weapons and armour are easy casts and worth experience to us!
