Khurasan releases 15mm Raug alien soldiers
« on: April 13, 2016, 09:32:26 PM »
We are very pleased to release the newest codes in our Soriog Alien Empire range, the Raug.  These fierce predators serve their Soriog masters in subject regiments of Ceepay -- slightly taller than humans, they are formidable adversaries in their own right.  As a somewhat restive subject population, however, they are not sufficiently trusted to provide their own command at platoon level, a Soriog magnate invariably leading the platoon along with an assistant.  Often attached to a platoon will also be a Raug Winghowler (seen as a healer by the Raug, identified as powerful practitioners of psionic medicine by the Federal intelligence), and between two and four Soriog "gun dogs" for heavy fire support.

The packs released today are the Raug Ceepays with autoguns ...

... Raug Ceepays with section support weapons ...

... and Raug platoon command (which contains two Soriogs).

The "gun-dogs" will be released very soon.

Then can be a nice foe of your Felid
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Fighting like cats and dogs. :-)

The inspiration for them was the movie "Dog Soldiers -- thought it would be fun to have soldiers like the lycans with armour and weapons.

I'm assuming the Windhowler is mould-tied to the others in the Command group.

Be a good casualty.

Extremely nice.....but I'd like actual Ceepay command figures so that the Ceepays can be used as a faction in their own right rather than being tied to the Soriog.

So now you have cats and dogs, starting to think Traveller might need some miniatures next time I play it.

Another great Khurasan release... These could be used for sci-fi werewolves/uplifted canids too.  Good dynamic, vicious poses and  near future level weaponry.

Extremely nice.....but I'd like actual Ceepay command figures so that the Ceepays can be used as a faction in their own right rather than being tied to the Soriog.

Eh, I think it'd be pretty easy to convert some of the riflemen to command.  I don't see the command ranks in this species loafing around with binoculars and maps.

My first thought was Paddy's, followed by my second thought being along yours. Whole conversation in my head.  lol

Thanks -- actually there is a commander in the rifle pack already.

Actually that's a good call for people who don't want to use him as a medic, which is what he was made for.  Doing medics for aliens is always a bit of a challenge -- they're not going to carry around a box with a red cross on it after all.  The thought with the Soriog was that they are extremely religious and therefore would rely on faith to heal their soldiers, faith being synergized with psychic powers to create a sort of priest that can actually heal using psionic medicine.  The Soriogs have a priest in the command set as well.

The last main military race of the Soriog Empire, the Gurkworms, will be released next, then the imperial vehicles -- grav tanks and mecha.  The Gurkworms don't have a priest in their set as they are not in the least bit religious, fighting purely as a sort of elite mercenary in Soriog forces.

Somehow you constantly put out amazing quality stuff in a huge variety of genres on a crazy schedule.

Like Brandon Sanderson releases 3 books in 3 different series in 3 different genres in about 6 months.

-- they're not going to carry around a box with a red cross on it after all.

They are if they've devious plans to misuse the prevailing Geneva Conventions...  lol

Edit: No, REALLY. In our symbology, a red cross signifies 'multiple thermonuclear devices...'
