1/56 Mercedes G3A truck for Weird War, Pulp and WW2
« on: 03 January 2009, 10:31:05 AM »
Progress on the 1/56 master model for the Mercedes G3A.  Not bad for three days...  Just need to do the "breakaway" grill, tires/wheels, interior of the cabin, and the canvas back.  Should I include a little whip in the undercarriage?

Pictured with an Artizan DAK for size, and our Kubelwagon and crew.

There may be a few corrections to do, once I get the seats in.  I need to make sure it cab fit seated Germans.  I wonder if I should commission a special crew/driver?

A new Civilain Train Engine is also almost done.  Picts are up on our greens page.

Hi Brent, great work on the truck.

If you are looking at a new crew that is ideal for pulp and WW2 etc. then may I suggest that the crew have goggles on their hats!
Best wishes,
Helen

Despite Brent's almost boundless enthusiasm, this is, at best, 4-6 months away from production.

I don't look in here very often, but glad I did as this just what I've been looking for for my German "archaeologists"...
They were all drawn to the Keep; the soldiers who brought death; the father and daughter fighting for life; the people who have always feared it; and the one man who knows its secret....

Updated pics:

I'm going to try and get this wrapped up this weekend and meet with the casting guy to see if any modifications are needed for the molds...

Production is still probably not going to hit until May/June with our selection of new models being cast, but we'll see how it goes.

Oh, and a Staff car is in the works for release at the same time.  We already have the DAK crews for that as well.
