We run smaller games (with 3-4 players) quite often, so the players are quite accustomed to the system and know what to expect (and know that it's more a RPG than a true wargame) and some of them also act as GM in other games so everyone tries to build a good story together.
And we had luck with this game, everything went OK.

It had happened in other games that some players did not find interesting things to do, or that the battles were too unbalanced (although unbalanced battles can also provide interesting scenarios). It needs a lot of game preparation.
