My take on the LAF Miniature

Well here it is, my take on the Prof's Miniature and by the way the first pics, I show on this forum. So please be kind !

Ahh Doctor Brown....very nice, I like the way his eyes are done, did you varnish the figure or is the light giving that effect?
I like the colour scheme, its very similar to the way i did mine.

varnish the figure or is the light giving that effect?

Yes, i vanished the clothes, bag and the skin with a layer of matt varnish and the metallic parts, which means the Grail, the pistol and the buttons, with brilliant one. But in order to be honest, you don't see any of them in reality, just under the high powered light of the camera.

It seems to be an accepted convention to do him in a pale khaki shirt and brown trousers - mine is very similar! I suppose it is now the regulation Field Archeologist's uniform. After all, it seemed to work well for Indy

Well, it is the look for 1930s adventurers, made famous by a certain Doctor Jones.

But it wasn't invented by Indy...

I must admit I've never seen that before, but due to the amount of period "pulp" detail in the Indy films, I'm not surprised they used earlier films as a template for his clothing.

Well it's the only possible way to clothe an archaeologist to make him look serious and to fit him for any jungle or desert. Or would anybody of you believe that a guy like this could survive deep snakepits and find hidden treasures?

No? -You see, it all depends on the colour of his clothes.

I read the book years ago - actually it was on our O level reading list, but at the time I wasn't really interested in the less "glamorous" conflicts.
